Education >> Our Focus and Direction
"The principle goal of education ..., should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things, ..."
-Jean Piaget-
Access to education is a nagging problem in the Nigerian society. Children who are denied access to basic education are left to roam the streets, hawking or begging. Their future becomes bleak as the clock ticks by, with most of them ending up as public nuisances that counter the collective efforts of national developments.
At Escroll Education & Childcare Foundation, we fully understand that education is the bedrock for development. To solve the problem of underdevelopment, its root cause has to be properly addressed, our deep realization of the importance of education to the growth and development of the individual child and the economy at large drives us to place very high priority on providing quality education to less privileged children in the society.
To fully realize our goals in an organized manner, we break down our vision into manageable individual programs, around which we identify intervention projects to be implemented.
Our core areas of involvement in rural educational development are financial and intellectual help based. Because we are bent on holistically developing the educational system, we develop our help programs around the three core components of the educational system – the Pupils/Students, the Schools and the Teachers. The Foundation reaches out to less privileged children by paying their school fees, reach out to schools by providing basic required educational facilities and reach out to teachers by training them for optimal result in their teaching efforts.
We believe that the more lives we touch, the lesser the incidence of crime and thuggery. The more lives we touch, the higher the value added to the society.
Beneficiaries are selected through screening of submitted applications from potential pupils/schools. Beneficiary applications can be made by filling the forms online, sent by e-mail or dropped off at our office. Only requests that are in line with our program scope will be treated.
